Where history meets innovation, and function meets beauty.
Our Company
Set in the historic market town of Sudbury, Suffolk, we combine over 300 years of unique family history with today’s technological advances in responsible manufacturing. The hands-on crafts and artisan skills of Spitalfields weavers have been passed down through 10 generations of the family and remain at the heart of our business today.

Account Manager profiles:
Kevin Reeve
I have worked in the interiors industry for over 35 years, firstly working for a high-end interior design and furniture retailer. Fabrics have always been my passion, and I eventually became a furniture buyer focusing on soft cover upholstery.
As an account manager at David Walters my main focus is the USA market and previous experience enables me to guide clients while developing their own collections. Like every fabric lover, I have cupboards full of fabrics that one day I will put to good use!
Emma Collings
With over 10 years’ experience in the textile industry, it is an absolute joy to develop furnishing fabrics and guide my customers towards the most suitable weaves for their collections. As a member of the mill’s responsibility team, I am passionate about driving sustainable improvements and collaborating on new ideas for the future. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to different landscapes and cultures, and I cherish the traditional textiles found along the way. I speak French as a second language and take pleasure in utilising it within my role.
Richard Norris
My passion for textiles started at an early age when there was always yarn and fabric around from my grandmothers’ crafts. After specialising in woven textiles at university, I started working for David Walters Fabrics. From starting as a designer, through to the management of customer accounts, I now have around 30 years’ experience of creating interior fabrics here at the mill. Being able to see samples weave within days of their creation, still gives me the same joy and excitement as the first day I started.
Flexibility
Working in close collaboration with our customers we create exquisite fabrics suitable for interior furnishings, woven from a wide range of stocked yarns. This provides our customers with the flexibility they need when ordering, as well as being able to offer short lead times.
